Michelle draws on evidenced-based counselling approaches like:
-CBT, DBT, ACT, trauma-informed, strengths-based, solution-focused, narrative therapy, somatics, family systems and motivational interviewing. Whilst drawing on these approaches, Michelle recognises that the therapeutic relationship and “being a match” is the most important and powerful tool for change in therapy.

We are not a crisis service offering 24/7 support. If you need urgent help, please call 000 or visit your nearest hospital.
When you contact us, you can usually expect a reply within 48 hours. If you are a current client, please be aware that we turn our phone and emails off when in session and after business hours.
Sessions are $156.16 for 60 minutes of counselling (30-minute and 90-minute options also available). This is the standard rate for registered counsellors under the NDIS.
We see many people with NDIS funding, including self-managed and plan-managed clients, as well as parents of children with the same plan types. We cannot currently accept NDIA-managed clients.
We are in the process of applying for several private health fund rebate options and will keep you updated. We cannot currently provide Medicare rebates, although PACFA is working on this.
We offer reduced rates for First Nations people and those with a health care card or experiencing financial difficulties. Please feel free to chat with us about this.
We will send you an invoice on the day of your consultation, payable by bank transfer, credit/debit card, or Apple Pay. We also offer automated payments, where we securely store your card details and debit you after your session, so you can fully concentrate on your treatment and leave the admin to us.
In the case of illness or an emergency, please get in touch as soon as you can. We understand there can sometimes be exceptional circumstances beyond your control.
If you need to cancel, we require at least 12 hours’ notice. Where we do not receive this, you will be charged our full fee. Missed appointments without notice will also incur our full fee.
Yes, sometimes. Michelle has an extensive background in counselling and social services and has worked with a broad range of people with diverse identities, genders, cultural backgrounds, and challenges. If you believe we would be a good fit, book a 15-minute discovery call and we can chat about what you want to work on.
There are times when we are at capacity or we might not be the best fit for you. In those cases, we may suggest an option within our referral network.
Currently we do not, even though working with children has been a large part of Michelle’s career. We hold current Working with Children Checks (WWCC), NDIS worker checks, Police checks, and relevant insurances.
What we do currently is work with parents and carers from a child-focused and family-systems perspective. We find that this often creates more holistic change, especially with younger children, and the research backs this up.
We are trained in facilitating “Circle of Security Parenting,” “1, 2, 3 Magic and Emotion Coaching,” “Tuning into Teens,” and “Keeping Kids in Mind” and can offer these programs one-on-one or in a group. Please chat with us if you are interested in groups.
We do work with young people over 16 years of age, especially neurodivergent teens and those experiencing anxiety and school-related challenges.
Please contact us via the contact form below for further information. We would be happy to answer any other questions about us!
